Mix everything slowly and taste as you add…
Start with:1 can tomato sauce- pour 1/2 into the mixing bowl
Add to taste:mustard (prepared mustard if you like a hot sauce)Worcestershire sauceBalsamic vinegarSesame oilSoy sauceDash of Teriyaki sauceArtificial sweetener of choiceGarlic powder
You can also play around with this formula and come up with a fantasticsteak sauce. The items marked are ones that can easily overwhelm your sauce.Taste as you go and add slowly. If you’re into sweeter BBQ, use very littlevinegar and maybe a trace of the sesame oil.
The only items in this BBQ sauce with carbs to speak of are the tomato sauceand the teriyaki. However, you may be able to find a diabetic teriyakisauce???LC Tip.. I cook up several packs of bacon at a time and keep it in the frigfor meals and snacking. I also buy at BJ’s the huge bags of slicedpepperoni. I make pepperoni chips and put them in a zip lock bag forsnacking…plus Ieat them right out of the frig. Along with containers of carrots slices,celery, broccoli, cucumbers…things that are easy to grab and munch on.
