Following the recipes
I don’t think it is necessary in ANY diet to follow the recipeslisted in the books. If you only use the food list of approvedfoods, then you should do okay. The recipes are just suggestions toliven up your diet so you don’t get bored or frustrated with it.Also, the amounts you eat don’t have to be measured out in the SBDiet. Eat a little, eat a lot. As long as you are full. I find ithelpful for the “snacks” portions to measure those out ahead of time, though. Little snack-sized baggies with 15 almonds counted out, forexample.
I did Atkins about 3 years ago and rapidly lost almost 50 lbs.Sadly, I worked in an office where there were tempting bagels, donuts, and cakes ALL the time, so it went right back on and thensome! Now I am on DAY 4 of Phase 1 in the SB. I don’t find myselfcraving too many foods, but can’t force myself to eat 3 big meals andtwo snacks. I just don’t get that hungry. I drink caffeine-freeDiet Coke and caffeine-free iced tea w/sweetner. I’m missing a glassof OJ in the morning, but I think I can do without the fruit for afew more days.
Yesterday, I had sugar-free frozen yogurt (don’t know the fatcontent); what are you opinions on this? I had the smallest portionavailable.
